Having just been talking to the technical people at Luminition about their
contactless ignition modules, I thought members of the list might like to
know that they are in the final throws of developing their system to work
on the 1950s 6-cylinder engine as used on the Bentley Mk. 6, R-type etc.
with a Delco Remey(?) twin points distributor.

The system uses a chopper wheel that interrupts a light beam, it is also
suitable for +ive earth [ground] application.

When I receive one, I shall let you know how well it seems to work.

Best wishes,

George
