Don=E2=80=99t know about Restore and Protect. But modern oil standards =
do not include lead or ZDDP additives which were there to protect flat =
tappet engines. I always use Valvoline VR1 non synthetic racing oil. It =
contains sufficient levels of ZZDP and low levels or low sudsing =
detergents. =20

Just what I do,

I have been told that I should never use synthetic oil in my 235. =
However, I understand that Valvoline Restore & Protect works wonders for =
cleaning and restoring engines. Is it safe to use in a 1957 235?

Thanks!
