The oil deflector has come loose from the rear u-joint flange on my rear axle (55 3100). It normally covers the pinion seal and is press fit onto the back of the flange so that it rotates with it. Now it rattles on the flange and sounds like a tambourine. How can I fix this? Where would I find a new oil deflector? Can I take the flange off and put it back without ruining my ring & pinion alignment? Should I just cut the deflector off with a pair of tin snips and get on with life? regards, Leon |
