i'm wiring my truck and thought i should test my gauges. i'm not having any
luck.

temp gauge: i put 12 v to the hot side and grounded the wire going to the temp
sending unit.
i believe it should have gone all the way to hot, is my thought proccess
correct?
it came up to cold and wouldn't move from there.

gas gauge: i put 12 v to the hot side and grounded the wire going to the fuel
sending unit.
it goes to full as it should, if i am correct on the proceedure.

amp gauge: i replaced the stock amp gauge with a volt gauge and made it look
stock.
pretty cool. i set it up to run in the middle of the gauge at 14 v.
if it goes low or high, i'd have to test it with a multi-meter to trouble
shoot it.
but it is a good indicator of my the general health of the charging system.
i'll do a write up w/ photos if anyone is interested

back to the temp gauge. is it shot?Kurt 58 3100 Apache project the "Duracell
Project" it keeps going... and going...When I die, i want to go asleep and
peaceful, not screaming and freaking out like everyone else in the car.
