I've never seen this done, but I think you should go ahead and take the
leap.  Rip out the 350 and trash it.  There are too many SBC 350s in the
world anyway.  Then put the 216 into the '76 GMC and be a little
different.

OK, Guys I have a 350 from a '76 GMC 3/4 pu, a 5 speed from a '92 GMC
1/2 pu and a  one owner '49 Chev. 3/4 pu fresh from the barn. A motor
and tranny mount kit from the "Truck Shop", a huge electrical storm and
..............a
little input.   What else?  I'm trying to get all the advice I can
before I
tactle this project.   Thanks
