The 55 used a sending unit that was 0 ohms empty and 30 ohms full. If
the 48 sending unit is the same all should be well.

Have relocated tank to right under bed 1948 GM pu tank for my 55 -1st
pu. Have concerned with stock 1948 ( 6v ) tank send unit / 55 12 volt
gage? Also is there a easy method to assure sending unit operation?

Jim
