Ric,
    I agree, sometimes the search in the archives can get a bit 
frustrating. Be sure to use advance search tactics as you would any other 
search engine. For example  "HEI"+"235"  will bring you all the threads 
that have the exact wording in the email. Searching HEI ignition will find 
nothing. I found some info there that may help, but sure you'll get other

  < I queried the mailing list on this and had some mixed results. Most 
commented that they didn't like the larger distributor cap that HEI has and 
looked a bit funny on the 6 cylinders. Although some only had good things 
to day about it-included spark gap not having to be so precise, better 
starts and smoother to say the least.
   The consensus is there is two approaches, one being HEI and other being 
dual point conversion. Seems they were split half/half on what "they" did.
