According to the Garage Logic guidelines, the key is
to keep posession for two weeks, slowly bringing the
new truck into view.  After two weeks, you can safely
say that you've had it for a long time.  (Two weeks is
a long time, isn't it?)

That is, of course, unless you have a wife like mine. 
She would have given me a ride there to drive it home.
