I've seen the logo stickers available, so it must not be too hard to change
them.

Is yours the recirculatory type?  I'm not sure exactly what that means, but
someone else told me the '54-5 is recirculatory and the earlier ones are
not.

I am sure it came in the truck, maybe dealer installed. A lot of Radios and
Heaters were installed by dealers back then. As an Industrial Arts student
we used to work at dealerships installing these things.  Many times whatever
was available was installed. Even paint colors ,other than green, on trucks
were dealers options.
