I am still asking questions and getting my facts straight on putting an IFS
or front clip under my 55 2nd TF.
I want to make sure i get a list of the parts and pieces i will need to get
the job done and done right.
I will want power steering, power brakes, and a front end, which may be the
MII front end.

Here is what i think i will need, if anyone can think of anything else
please let me know.
1. The suspension, which would be hub to hub and include the steering rack.

Most clips do not use rack and pinion, so if you clip instead of MII
rack and pinion might require a bit more work.

2. Motor mounts, i'm not sure if they are included with th MII front
end...Thats a question i need to ask the company i am getting the front end
from.

You might be able to buy mounts from the same company that offers the
MII crossmember. Some do offer mounts specifically to go with their
crossmember.

3. Steering column, mounting plate, and possibly a rod with 2 universal
joints

4. Steering box

Steering box or rack and pinion. Not both. You'll need a power
steering pump. If you use MII you'll want to make sure the pump is matched
to the rack. That means lowering the pressure or buying a special pump, or
maybe even using a Ford pump.

5. Power brake booster kit, under floor mount

6. Tandem master cylinder

7. Residual valve

You'll want two valves, one for the front and one for rear. Use a 2#
for disk brakes, and a 10# for drum brakes. Some guys don't use them at
all, and don't seem to have any issues. I've got two on mine, and don't
seem to have any problems.

8. Metering block

Porpotioning valve. The meetering blocks sometimes also include
residual valves, but not always.

If anyone can think of anything i forgot please let me know.
Thanks from SC,
Tom Cooper
