I like using the Eastwood "Oxisolv" as well as their "Rust ncapsulator".
A friend of mine found me a few AD Cabs a while back "they were about
to go to the crusher" so I took them home. They all need cab corners
and one needs a complete floor and one was a 5-window with a very bad
dash and front floor and firewall section. I melted the lead on the A-
pillar seam and then cut the floor through the rockers from one side to
the other just in front of the seat riser. I mated the 5-window with
the good dash and front floor section of the other truck to make a good
5-window. I won't even tell you what plans I have for the
cab's "custom wise" because the majority on the list would go into
shock. Yeah, I'm one of those hackers who does the chopping and
suicide door and other unmentionables to the AD's but like I said these
cabs were heading to the wrecking yard to be crushed so don't feel to
bad for them.
Another friend just gave me a really nice 1950 bed with back fenders as
a trade for me welding in some cab corners on his truck.
