To answer your question I am 34 years old, and have owned my 59 since 1989.
I think if you read all the threads on this subject you will find that the
pedal the person was asking about is actually for the windshield washers.

Ummmmm! The "Clutch" pedal, used when shifting gears and starting out! How
old are you? If that's the dimmer switch you mean, what cave you been living
in? OK, GM has been in the turn stalk for so long, you didn't know? Ford
trucks had the floor mounted and maybe still do, not sure. Had one in my 87
anyway.
