Does anyone know how the upper tailgate bolt is originally installed in the
bed for the AD 3100 trucks. Is the bolt welded on from the inside of the stake
pockets or is a carriage bolt used. My 53 bedside rear stake pockets are in
marginal shape and some modification appears to have been done in this area.
I'm trying to figure out if I can repair this area without having to have new
rear stake pockets welded on.
