I am reading with interest the string on bear claw latches but I am still
confused. Can someone please explain the whole concept of the bear claw
latches to me? What is the difference between bear claw latches and the
original factory latches? I have major problems with my 57 doors latching
properly which causes me to have to slam them repeatedly sometimes to make them
catch. I, obviously, want to fix this when I get to my paint and bodywork
stage, which is about 3 months away. Are the bear claw latches the way to go?
I have decided not to shave the door handles but may change my mind on this.
Does that matter at all in choosing the proper latch?
Obviously, you can see I don't really know a heck of a lot about this subject!
