Experts:
I need some help identifying the 6-cylinder engine in my new '65 stepside.
The PO admits it was changed and did not know the vintage chevy it was. The
block has theses numbers:
Cast date = A164
Casting number = 328575
Near the distributor are these stampings:
F01221AB
C4S154191
It has a spin-on oil filter on the lower right front of the block, and the
distributor is right there too. There are two lifter side covers with a one
barrel Monojet carb. I need to know if it is a 194, 230, 250, or 292 or what
and what year it is. I appreciate any help you can give identifying this
motor. I need tune up parts and don't know what to get.
