56's DID use a V-8 hood emblem, the same as 57, it was 55 that did not!! 55
had the same emblem no matter the motor. 55 did use V-8 --a 'V' with an 8 --
emblems on the fender, as did 56. 57 used just a 'V' on the side, to singify
V-8, and it was placed on the forward edge of the door, just above the
bodyline. 58 and 59 only had V's on the hood emblem to show a V-8, nothing on
the fender.
