Howdy to the man with low oil pressure,

>From the Maintenance Manual,1947-1954, Models 100-400.
Section 8, page 220, #3
"Start engine and run for approximatly 15 minutes at fast idle (600 to 700
rpm). During warm-up, observe operation. Oil pressure should be minimum of 5
lbs. at idle speed and minimum of 40 lbs. at governed or normal high operating
speed."
This is what the oil pressure was on my 1951 228 and is on my 1951 gmc 248
motor.
