Thanks for the concern. Some of us have been busy! I live near where I-95
and I-40 cross, which is on the West edge of the flooded areas. We lost
power for several days - which taught me another lesson I didn't really want.
I ran a 5 kW generator during the power outage. When I first hooked it up, I
"back fed" it from the sub-panel in the workshop. I forgot that the neutral
in a sub-panel is not bonded to the ground. When I connected the generator's
neutral/ground wire, I landed it on the ground bar, not the neutral bar.
Result is I had a "floating neutral" and everything that was plugged in saw
about 240 V rather than 120. TV, VCR, radios, surge suppressors..... I'm
at over $200 and counting.
But I'm back on-line!
