Anytime I've heard of somone putting an ad truck on a later frame they always
widen
the front fenders, so if you wanna lower it this may be the way to go.

Just to add two cents worth, American Rodder May '92,#36, had an article I
dug out to double check what Terry said. Shows pitures of a 53 AD on a 77
front end, supposedly using only 1/2" spacers on the outside of the 53
frame. The tires are wider than stock, but not ultra wide. The tires appear
flush with the fender, so the track appears wider. Terry was right. Problem
would be if you wanted to lower it much. I'm going with the Pacer ( right
width track), plus it's really beefy. However, that means changing bolt
patterns. No kits available. So... I intend to put 11" javelin rotors on the
pacer spindles, and have them drilled for chevy lug pattern. I do know some
folks put AD's on entire 73-8something frames. Offset wheels? I can't find
any photos of such a swap.
