Can someone tell me the original color of the windshield metal trim interior pieces on a '49 AD? Was it interior color (the so-called "champagne"), black, bare metal, or other? My door window trip pieces are unpainted and stainless, but it appears the windshield pieces are painted steel. It's sanding/painting time, and searching the archives hasn't answered this one.
