Ted,
If you want to put a manual behind a 454ci, you might want to check out the
Doug Nash (now Richmond Gear) 5 and 6-Speeds.  They are a whole lot
stronger than the T-5 in any form.  They are pricey, but the 6-speed comes
with the shifter and the 5-speed does not.  Last time I looked at them, the
5-speed was going for about $2K and the 6-speed was about $3K.  They are
both rated for 450+ Ft.Lb of torque!  The 5-speed has a 1:1 final drive
while the 6-speed had a .76:1 final drive (5th. is a 1:1).  They are
pricey, but you get what you pay for.  Take care.
