Call for Entries to the First Annual
Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance

SAN RAFAEL, CA -- We are pleased to announce the First Annual
Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance. This event will be held May 17,
2009 at the Marin Center County Fairgrounds at the Civic Center in San
Rafael. This is a beautiful site with rolling lawns, a large lagoon and
adequate parking for the 180 entrant vehicles to be displayed. You are
invited to submit your automobile for consideration as an entrant.
Special exhibits plus music, food, and family activities will fill out the
program. Charlie Goodman, a Marin resident and vintage car collector
is serving as chairman for the event. "This is going to be a very upscale
car show," he said. "There hasn't been anything like this in Marin or
Sonoma County for about five years and there appears to be a lot of
enthusiasm."

The entry fee for applications postmarked before February 1, 2009
is $50. The entry fee for applications postmarked on or after February
1, 2009 is $60. All entrants will be notified of acceptance or denial
prior to March 15, 2009. The Car Entry Fee includes admission for 2
adults, gift, program and two continental breakfasts.

Classes of Cars considered for this first annual event are:
Class A. Auburn and Cord; Class F1. Ferrari 1969 and earlier;
Class F2. 8-Cylinder Ferrari 1970-1989; Class F3. 12-Cylinder
Ferrari 1970-1991; Class C1. Corvette 1953-1962; Class C3. Corvette
1963-1967; Class T. Thunderbird 1955-1957; Class M. Stock Muscle Cars
1964-1972; Class S. American Milestones 1953-1963; Class P. Packard;
Class D. American Open Classic 1925-1948; Class D1. American Closed
Classic 1925-1948; Class E. American Manufactured 1932-1942;
Class H1. Import Cars 1945-1960, original price under $5,000;
Class H2. Import Cars 1945-1960, original price over $5,000; Class H3.
Import Cars 1961-1987, original price under $5,000; Class H4.
Import Cars 1961-1987, original price over $5,000; and
Class Q. Pierce Arrow.

Exhibition only classes include: Preservation Class; Class I. Motorcycles;
Class X Super Cars and Class SP. Special exhibits will include Alternative
Fuel and Electric Vehicles plus high-profile Celebrity Cars. The Honored
Marque at the Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance will be vehicles built
by either American or International manufacturers in 1929. Vehicles
may be in un-restored, original, or restored condition.

All cars will be judged on interior, exterior, engine and chassis based on
authenticity, general appearance, care and preparation. Any entrant
may elect to have a car JUDGED or entered as EXHIBIT ONLY. Cars
being JUDGED will have field priority. Where possible, single marque
car classes will be judged by individual marque car judges using marque
car judging rules and guidelines. All First in Class winners will be 
eligible
to compete or Best of Show d'Elegance or Best of Show de Sport.

The designated charity for this event is Hospice By The Bay, a non-profit
organization that has been comforting and caring for seriously ill patients
and their families since 1975.
