Bill and Dan, I had a 90 XJ6 and loved it. I was hoping to get to 200,000
miles and unfortunately the rear end started making horrible grinding noises
with just 8,000 miles to go. The cost of a rebuilt rear end was twice the
value of the car. I traded it in with British European Motors for a Land
Rover, and Mark is going to fix my old car up and use it for a courtesy
vehicle so it will live on. BTW love the Land Rover, and glad that gas
prices have fallen.

I'm also a fan of the XJ6 with it's in line big 4 liter 6..great touring
cars without being too big. I, however,
try to stick to '90 to '93 which have lost the lucas electric woes and
are more reliable and a bit easier
to work on. I just did a brake job on my '90 and the brakes are in the
normal wheel location and
were a piece of cake. If you have time, I would like to look at your
pix. Thanks!
