Hi Moggers,
I recently got tired of adding coolant to the radiator of my 1957 4/4 (with
1600 crossflow Kent engine).
So I installed a coolant recovery system (4 lb modified cap) but to my
chagrin, there was a bit of coolant leakage (OK,a torrential outpouring)
coming around the upper hose neck on the radiator.
I have pulled the Rad and am surprised to find that neither the top or
bottom radiator hose outlets has the compression bulge at their end. Is
this normal? The diagrams on the Morgan Spares website don't seem to shown
them...
They would certainly add stiffness as the upper pipe was in the shape of a
"D". :(
++++++++
Anything else I should do while the radiator is out of the car?
Sincerely,
Atwell Haines
