Jim,

Since your '64 +4 uses different filaments for the directional signals
and the brake lamps it is trivial to add a third brake light.  Just
connect the hot lead (green and purple) going to either brake lamp to
one lead on your third lamp and run the other, if there is one, either
to a ground or to the blue wire going to the brake lamp filament, which
is a ground. If there is only one wire on the third lamp, make sure you
anchor the lamp to a metal part of your car to make the ground and
complete the circuit.
