My last one was John Worrall's departure- mea culpa

> Do you suggest we formally raise the issue?

Yes, a question to the AGM would be suitable. I'll need to check the
Memorandum and Articles of the company for the correct form of notice,
if there is not an agreed form of questioning, I will have to ask
around. A letter to the Chair, signed by a number of members, would
normally, in case law, be sufficient.

>Do we try to put someone up for Mrs Simpson's job?

Mrs Simpson has decided to resign as Company Secretary due to her "other
business commitments", (Miscellany, August 1999, page 3, Chairman's
Column by Phil Hawes). An advertisement on page 12 of the same issues
asked for CVs by September 1st. The October Miscellany makes no comment.
I have had more than one comment that she has got away "scott free", but
I see no mechanism nor any point in retribution.

>Replace all bar 5 of the directors?

This I feel is a truly excellent idea, but volunteers are few in number,
so we as the membership get the Directors we deserve. I will support
anyone who will stand and will nominate anyone who needs this, but I
already am on the committee of an AIDS charity, a children's nursery and
a Motor Project, so I am too thinly spread.
