Morgan Hand brake cable

John,
I have just replaced my hand brake cableand am not sure what the "correct"
way to treat the front end of it is....it came with the back end all set up,
but the front end left virgin to allow for threading it forward through the
fancy bolt on the transmission.  I've been told that my temporary solution of
using a fitting that bolts down on the cable is unsafe and sure to fail...do
you know the "factory" solution?
