Does any one on the list have the full specs for the Salisbury rear axle?
I'm rebuilding the axle for my drophead and have run in to a snag. The
car was hit so hard that it pushed the engine back and as a result the axle
tubes were pulled loose from the diff case. I took the axle to a
specialist who straightened it and welded the tubes back to the diff case.
Well last night I assembled the half shafts and they are both loose by
about a 1/4 inch. I'm pretty sure the tubes were positioned correctly but
I'd like to double check
The Autopress book by Clarke has a sectional drawing of the 7HA with the
specs but the figure I need , distance from the outer flange to the diff
housing or the distance from outer flange to outer flange is not included
in the key to the illustration
( L or K on the drawing on page 112 ) .
