Definitely a Studebaker, one of the Raymond Lowey designs, 1953 or s=
o.
This is the two-door sedan, not the hard-top, which is pillarless.
A friend=E2=80=99s dad owned one of the Bill Frick Studillac (sp?) c=
onversions, a coupe with the Cadillac engine conversion and massive Traction=
-Master bars on rear springs. Black, with tan padded vinyl top and tan inter=
ior, it was elegant. It had the hill-holder device that prevented rolling ba=
ck on hills, a very nice feature. Mr Nader would not have approved of its ro=
w of toggle switches across the engine-turned dash.=20
