Sunday Times recently did a survey on how 'British' British-made vehicles
are following the purchase of TVR by a Russian. Only one company -
Caterham - came out as 5-star British being assembled here and the major
components being manufacturer here by British companies. Stars were deleted
according to how much the parts were sourced from abroad or foreign-owned
companies, or like Noble were assembled abroad (although perhaps not the
latest model). Morgan uses Ford engines, which technically is a foreign
supplier, and hence lost a star or two.
As far as independence is concerned there are quite a few, as well as
Morgan.
