Thomas, I have about the same problem with my 57 MGA clutch pedal. What
I plan to do, based on input from others, is to take the pedal to a
mechanic and have the opening filled in (welded?) and then re-bored to
accept the proper bushings (I got mine from Moss). That should eliminate
the 'slop'.
If anyone can suggest a better method, please let me know.
PS: Squealing? After 37 years of marriage, I don't hear much of that
anymore, from my wife or my MG.

Subject: Clutch Pedal Needed
One bit that I need to make my MGB roadworthy is a clutch pedal. The
round
hole were the clevis pin slides through is now an oval slot and I have
lost
some clutch movement. I'd hate to have to leave the reception in a
squeal
of rubber dust (no comments about squealing, please).
