Bill,
I put my lows on one fuse/relay circuit and the highs on a separate one with
the switch power coming from the dash/instrument power but then again I have
about 20 fuses in the whole car. I took the approach that many racers take,
each component on it's own circuit. Some modern cars have a relay and most
use circuit breakers rather than fuses. Typically the breaker is an
integral part of the headlight/dimmer switch.
