Neil, That's what I do when I need to join a couple of wires....solder. Get to a Radio Shack and get some "heat shrink" tubing just larger than the wire size you're looking to join; put it over the wire prior to soldering; clean the wires of all grease and contaminants; solder these wires together then slide the shrink tubing over the joint and hold a match under it until it creates a tight seal. I've had some pretty good luck with repairing "professionally" repaired crimp fitting with Lucas "bullet" connectors. Good luck Bob 66 B RD GHN3L 78708 60 TR3A TS 81398L |
