At first I thought, does Barney have a carpeted garage?!? Or maybe he just
brings the MGA with an attitude in the house to fill the gearbox. It's
probably warmer.
Then I remembered that some other cars have the ability to fill the gearbox
from the INTERIOR of the car, which is most likely carpeted.
