Yes, spot on (possibly).  Remove transmission side cover, tighten or
reinstall locking bolt in 1st/2nd shift fork, reinstall side cover.  There
is a bit smaller probability that the selector gate on the back end of the
same rod may have come loose, and there is a minute possibility that the
rod or the fork may have broken.  Unfortunately, any of these fixes require
removal of the gearbox from the car, which in the caseof the Midget
requires pulling the engine.
