A few months ago I purchased my 2nd B. A 79. It came with a hard top made by
a company called Royal Coachman in South El Monte, California. The model is
a "MGB SR BB" and, in the state that it's in, it's not usable.
In particular I'm looking for the metal channel (which is removable) that is
below the rear glass. The rear window (which I also need, but can have made)
fits into this metal channel and a rubber seal on the bottom of the channel
rests on the car body. The top has a removable sunroof that is missing two
latches and the hooks the latches latch to. Of course it needs seals but
I'll tackle that job if and when I can find that channel.
I don't suppose I'd have the good fortune to find anyone in the group that
knows where I can find parts? I've searched various online telephone
listings and have come to the conclusion Royal Coachman doesn't exist any
more (at least, the one that made my top).
I know my chances are "slim to none" but I thought I'd try here before it
goes to the dump.
