Hi Tim, I haven't seen 96 octane leaded fuel at my corner station for years. Where do you and your B reside? Anyhoo, I'm wondering if you distributor is working OK. Have you checked the advance mechanism and vac unit for the proper curves? I'm running ~18 degrees initial advance on my '69 B, using 87 octane unleaded gas. Hard to tell exactly, what with the way the damper is marked. I don't get any pinging and I do lug that tractor motor at times. ;^) Charley Robinson '69 B (chug, chug) |
