In the past, I have seen posts about rebuilding of Lucas fuel pumps. My '79 B right now has one of those solid state "cube" types, since the old one failed last summer. I just took the old, dead pump out of the trunk, and noticed that it is an AC Delco, not a Lucas. Can these be rebuilt as well? I took it apart and dumped out a large pile of black soot. The points look shot. The model number of the pump is 12V- EP42 Calvin Krug |
