Steering bushing?

Hi all,

Sometime back there were some messages about the upper
steering bushing fix etc.

I have recently purchased a 73 BGT and it has excessive play
at the top of the steering column.  I have been trying without
success to remove the steering wheel.  Anyway I can see
the are where the excessive movement is, but I cannot see what
I would need to do if I ever remove the steering wheel.

Question:  How do I fix this excessive play, and do I need to remove
the steering wheel to do do it?
