Re: 22nd Annual MG Summer Party
John Twist, organizer of the 22nd Annual MG Summer Party,
held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Thursday - Sunday, August 13-16,
announced in March that their special guest this year will be
Graham Paddy of the Midget/Sprite Centre, Richmond, England.
Paddy has a history of successful racing campaigns in the MG
Midget. The featured MG this year at the Summer Party is the
1975->1979 Rubber Bumper Midget.
The MG Summer Party is a gigantic assembly of MGs, sometimes
numbering into the 500s and includes the MG reliability and
endurance trial, the Grand Lake Tour, a 1000 mile run around
Lake Michigan, a Mille MGlia; up to 50 MG specialty vendors; car
show; caravan; couples-khana; banquet; memorabilia; a day at the
vintage races; movies; reception for the featured MG owners;
shopping and historical tours; rides to the malls; talking
technical tour; kids events; ice-skating; panoramic photo; MG
Council Meeting; and true MG fellowship.
