I'm not sure which one I bought, but I was able to replace the two
6's in my 'B with a single 12 I bought from Walmart, fairly cheaply as I
recall (less than six months ago). That's not why I'm posting though.
When I was looking at batteries to size one that would come close,
I happened to look at the long term warranties a few of you have
mentioned. At least one of them (I think Exide from K-mart) is not as
super as it sounds. The warranty only provides a percentage of the
replacement cost based on the time from date of purchase. E.g., if half
the warranty time is up, you get half the replacement value. I know this
is better than nothing, but you might want to look at the fine print a
little closer if you haven't already.
