Well, it's a Midget 1500, USA spec. So what this means to
this discussion is that the driver is on one side of
the car, the carbs are on the opposite.
The original (when I got it anyways) routing of the choke cable
was straight out in front of the driver, across the
engine block with the throttle cable, and to the carb.
The shorter cable sort of shortcutted, out from the driver,
over the heater box to the carb. But the position terminal
of my battery is on that side as well, so it was only about
an inch away. Being a very bouncy cable, it was only a matter
of a small bump or two.
So I rerouted it across inside the dash, then through the
firewall in front of the passenger straight to the carb. Works
fine now, but a messy job to get it all fished around.
