Hello all,
I am thinking of doing the once unthinkable, (gasp) selling my Harley and
getting an older LBC. When I say older I mean MGA or TR3 vintage. What I
need to know is if a person 6'2" tall can even comfortably fit into one of
the aformentioned LBCs?
A few months ago I glanced out the window of our shop and saw a restored MGA
sitting in our parking lot, the owner and I talked for a while but when he
and his SO left they looked as if it took a shoe-horn to get both of them in
there.
I also talked to a TR3 owner at the Winston-Salem car show on the 15th and
he was taller than me but he had driven his car down from the mountains of
Virginia and looked un-accordian like. This fellow said his wife owned an
MGA and he thought it had more room than the TR3, but that they both took
some getting used to as to where to position legs and arms to be comfortable.
So whaddya think? How about some opinions from listers with real life
experence with this tall problem. I can afford the car or height reduction
surgery but not both.
