Okay, okay, thoughtful response follows:
Off idle and low rpm stumble may be a bunch of things. The last time I
dealt with it, I put heavier oil in the carb dampner (from Marvel
Mystery Oil to 30 weight engine oil) and advanced the timing 5 degrees
over spec. That helped the TR6 a bunch with its two Stromberg carbs.
This assumes engine in good state of tune: no vaccuum leaks, plugs,
wires, cap and rotor in good shape.
