Took off the cylinder head today. A little bit of carbon buildup on the valves and pistons, but came off easily. Will hopefully install th head tomorrow, once I find a head gasket. Turns out the car is a '72, but the head is dated 2-65. I will chase the threads and clean the studs before re-installation, and will oil the studs, but what is the correct final torque on the head bolts? Scott |
