Let me plug SAE books too, while I'm at it.
Call them at (412)776-4841 and request a calalog of their technical
books. They're great references, and will provide more information then
you will ever need.
They must have a web site too, being the tech heads that they are, but I 
don't know the URL.
SAE is the Society of Automotive Engineers.
