| This weekend while working under the hood, I managed to arc my temperature
guage line against the starter solenoid. It gave it a pretty good jolt.
Now the guage doesn't register (worked fine previously). I guess I
essentially welded the capillary tube shut (or something like that) :-(.
Does that sound reasonable? Do I have to send the whole gauge off to have
the tube fixed? I looked at the vendor list and came up with "West Valley
Instrument Spec." in Reseda, CA. Has Anybody used them before? Any other
ideas / recommendations? Thanks Oh by the way, the dash sure looks better
now that I have cleaned it up and replaced the vinyl !! To bad the temp.
guage doesn't work. I'm always having to fiddle with something. If I'd
just keep my #@% hands off of things.... but then I guess thats the whole
fun of it.
