Fuel Pump/Line

     Car stalls occasionally -- well I had this once -- but on a Citroen GS 
     (not an LBC, but probably considered a classic now!). Eventually 
     tracked the problem to a piece of plastic floating in the carb 
     (Solex). Always suspected the plastic was a piece of the fuel filter 
     that had broken loose!
     
     I'm assuming that a) You have a Weber carb
                       b) Design of Weber carbs is not too different to the 
                          Solex on my Citroen
