Before I start my MG-TD, I have to tap on the fuel pump to get it started. I know this is a common problem. (Had the same SU fuel pump on a 64 Sabb 96 way back when.) I have burnished the contacts, but that didn't help. Does anybody know which part of the pump needs replacement/cleaning/lubrication? I'd like to fix the old pump if possible. The new replacement pumps are rather salty. Bob Donahue " 50s FOREVER " rdonahue@holli.com 1953 MG-TD under restoration 1971 MGB |
