Not to belabor a subject, but the thread on anti - freeze seems fairly
important. Anti freeze is so toxic, and rapidly absorbed, that just one swallow
of pure anti - freeze can result in toxic levels in an adult. Very high levels
can kill you fast due to neurologic toxicity (coma, seizures), but even lesser
levels can cause long term problems like kidney failure. Treatment includes
ethanol (to compete for alcohol dehydrogenase), and/or dialysis. Most ERŐs see
the occasional child victim - NEVER store toxins in old soda containers.
Sorry to beat on this - but as a rookie mechanic I certainly appreciate
safety - related info from the list.
